Experience
Amanda began her career in public education in 2010 as a special education teacher for Branson Public Schools. In 2014 she began working for Ozark Public Schools where she went on to become a Process Coordinator and Literacy Coach. Amanda now works for Springfield Public Schools coordinating assessments and interventions for students at-risk for dyslexia.
Amanda began working with students privately in 2015. She has been trained in multiple intervention programs designed for individuals with dyslexia. She specializes in reading evaluations and using that information to tailor intervention plans specific to each child’s needs.
Current Focus and Interests
Amanda evaluates children and adolescents for reading concerns. She provides therapy for a variety of reading difficulties including dyslexia. When not working, Amanda enjoys serving on the Drury Alumni Board, listening to records, reading, and trying to beat her son and husband in Mario Kart.
