Counselor Cody’s undergraduate degree is in Psychology from MidAmerica Nazarene University.
His Master’s degree is in Professional Counseling from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and in School Counseling from Evangel University.
During his undergraduate work, Counselor Cody worked at KidsTLC in Olathe, KS, where he focused on working with adolescent clients in residential care.
Throughout his graduate work, he worked for Cox North as a psychiatric technician in their children’s and adult’s in-patient psychiatric units, facilitating patient education and care. He also interned in private practice counseling, working with children, adolescents and families.
For the last 11 years, Counselor Cody has been an elementary school counselor for grades K-8 where he has assisted with individual counseling and group counseling. He also holds experience as a 504 coordinator, as well as coaching junior high football and track.
All of these experiences have allowed him to gain valuable knowledge in working with adolescents with trauma, depression, anxiety, social skills and school success.
Counselor Cody is currently working on the hours required to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Current Focus and Interests
Counselor Cody utilizes his work experiences and education to work with adolescents, adults and families to help them address issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression and social skills issues.
He offers individual counseling sessions, family counseling sessions and group counseling sessions.
